Punching
and binding
There are dozens
of different types of binding elements: plastic, metal, double loop
wire, coil etc. The First step in the process is to punch the pages
according the type of binding process. There are both manual and
electric machines working with the variety of the punching standards.
Each punching standard needs its own tool to produce the holes correctly.
Punching is made for 5 - 20 sheets at a time.
The second step
is the actual binding. The more carefully the holes are made in
the punching process the easier it is to insert the mechanical binding
element and close it according the operating method of each system.
The binding elements have to be chosen according the thickness of
the book to be bound.
